Saturday, September 1st...

Yesterday was extremely busy, trying to wrap up the weekly and monthly reports, family errands, 3 meetings and a job interview. Everything, however, was hugely successful! I'll tell you about my job interview later.

So after a very busy Friday, we decided to take a relaxing drive up to the Lake on Saturday afternoon. But not before a Men's Bible Study and Breakfast at 7:00am this morning! Grace Baptist Church hosts the breakfast and Bible Study each week. I was blessed to meet some new friends.

The drive north to the Lake was great. It was the first time in a long time that the three of us had an opportunity to simply 'get out of the house' for a little while. Our trip took us to Sandusky, OH...a beautiful water-front community. We stopped at the mall and a few other shops, before heading to the Lake front. I had always imagined how the Great Lakes would look, but it was actually beyond my imagination. We took a few pictures, but they really don't do the Lake justice. From our home, we are between 30 and 45 minutes from Lake Erie. And it really didn't seem that long. To know that we are that close to something that beautiful, well, let's just say that we'll be back as often as we can. From the pier where we were, we could look to our right and see CedarPoint...the world's largest roller coaster park. You can see it in the background of this picture. CedarPoint is located out on a penisula on Lake Erie. To say the least, when a Missions Team comes up here to help us next summer, we'll be taking our fun day at CedarPoint!

Tonight, I hope to catch some college football on TV, before wrapping up my evening in one of the two books that I'm currently reading. It should be a really cool night, here in the Ohio valley, we're expecting somewhere around 51 or 52 degrees for an overnight low.

Have a great weekend, I'll catch up with you later.
