Friday, August 31st...

It's a cool morning, here in the Ohio valley. It's currently 53 degrees with a slight wind as I sit out in our 'sun room' that we use for our computer. I can see it's going to take a while to get used to this distinct cooler climate. But that's OK...I'm lovin' it so far.

This morning, I've worked on a few emails, published a new post over on the h2o blog, but mainly, I just can't get last night's Bible Study out of my head. Last night, was our first Bible Study on the TU campus. God had already blessed us as we are allowed to use the Chishom Auditorium on the campus as our regular meeting place on Thursday's. It's without a doubt, the primere location on campus. Along with that, their sound system AND their projection system. If you don't know, that's HUGE for me! I love using PowerPoint and different projection software in my teaching and especially while I'm leading worship. So to have something like this that's readily available, only God could provide that!

But there we were last night, PowerPoint running on the BIG screen...Casting Crowns playing on the CD player...and NO ONE showing up. Yeah, I was a little anxious. But right at 7:00pm, when we were supposed to get started, students began coming in! We ended with 9 students and 3 adults for our inaugrial Bible Study! I quickly went from anxious to over-whelmed. I was so excited! We had a great time, took a fresh look at the circumstances of Jonah, then hung around to begin making relationships. Still, after all these years, I'm amazed at how God works.

Please pray for these students...pray that God will use them in a very special way...and that they will become to serve as part of the foundation of our collegiate ministry.

Today brings about lots of little errands that we need to get finished. A couple of places to go, letters to mail...you know the stuff. God has done a truly miraculous work in our lives...and He's not finished yet. But we are already at a point where we can look back, just even a few months, and say, 'WOW! Who would've thought possible!' He really is, an amazing and awesome God!

Have a great Friday! Talk to you soon.

Jim
