An Atheist's View...
Sometimes, we just need our world rocked!
Dan Kimball is one of my favorite authors. I've read everything he's published, and with each book, it just keeps getting better. My favorite thus far is 'They Like Jesus But Not The Church'. The title literally says it all.
Now after following Dan on Twitter, and being Facebook friends with him, I've had a few opportunities to chat with him on different subjects. Each time, I come away from the conversations even more impressed with his heart and passion for reaching the lost/unchurched. I would love more time to get to know him.
I can only imagine what a church service would be like at his church, Vintage Faith Church. Little did I know that I would get a rare glimpse into one of their services...from an Atheist!
This is an article that was written by an Atheist, as he was visiting local churches in that area. It is an absolute eye opening blog post that is causing me to most certainly do some inward reflecting. It is also an amazing testimony of the Vintage Faith Church family. I am so very thankful to have read this article. I appreciate his viewpoint so very much.
Here is Dan's take on the article.

Crazy Desserts...
Don't knock it till you've tried it! Yep...frozen bananas covered in chocolate, then sprinkled in chopped peanuts! A-MA-ZING! The last time I had this was when I was visiting my Dad in Phoenix during the Christmas season. One of the highlights of the trip was a trip to Glendale, AZ to hang out in their city park! During the Christmas season, this park was one of the highlights of the trip for us. This city park literally came alive! And of course, food vendors were everywhere! When we first discovered this amazing frozen treat, we were hooked! I have often times longed to go back and re-experience those Christmases! And it was my incredible daughter who suggested trying this at home. It worked!
We'll definitely be doing this again...soon!

Something New....
I'm continually amazed at the vast amout of 'make easy money' type things that are offered in every nook and cranny on the web. In every possible type of situation, one can 'do this' or 'try that' or well, you know what I'm talking about! The really funny thing is I've actually tried a couple of them before. Made a little bit of extra cash...but not much...not NEAR as much as what was promised. But that's OK...I enjoy what I did, and didn't loose any money....that's the main thing. But this past weekend though, I've seen something kind of new to me. It's a make money thingy alright...but not the 'get it quick' kind of things. Got to put some effort into this one. I like that even more. I'm gonna give it a spin to see just how it works...can't loose anything because it didn't cost me anything to get started. Kind of looking forward to it.
Want to know what it is? Curious about maybe making a little extra for yourself? You KNOW you want to see...don't you! OK....here it is: Jim's Something New
Why don't you try it....can't hurt. Hey, I did it....
